It is a pleasure that ELTIS is completing 40 years of service to the International & Indian student community. When the Lord willed that I start Symbiosis in 1971 as a small cultural & educational centre, little did I know that it will flourish into a huge educational tree with more than 43 branches. ELTIS was the first institute that I started under the Symbiosis umbrella. I am happy that it is performing consistently for four decades, providing quality education in English. Its combination with SIFIL has earned a name and reputation as one of the largest composite language teaching institutes in India. I have no doubt that expertise in English, coupled with at least basic proficiency in minimum one foreign language, would give a boost to the careers of Indian and all Afro-Asian students.

The significance of humanities, language studies & liberal education has increased in the technology-driven & commerce-oriented world. Our University is trying to encourage these disciplines. I am happy to know that ELTIS & SIFIL wish to enhance their presence in the University through new programmes. We welcome the intent of ELTIS to launch M.A. (English and Professional Skills), a Post-graduate programme aimed at imparting career-oriented skills in addition to language skills to International and Indian students. We have also approved the ‘Diploma in German: Translation & Inter-Cultural Management’ proposed by SIFIL. This is an ambitious programme in collaboration with Max Mueller Bhavan, Mumbai & Mainz University, Germany. We look forward to the launching of both the programmes from the academic year 2012-13.
I wish the students of ELTIS & SIFIL a bright future.

It has always been the endeavour of ELTIS-SIFIL to serve the cause of International harmony. We do it through promoting understanding and communication among the International Students' Community. The ELTIS-SIFIL campus is a miniature world where students and teachers of over 20 different nationalities speak one language. Man-made or natural boundaries of territory, cast, creed, race, religion and skin colour dissolve at ELTIS-SIFIL into the realization that the inner core of humankind reflects unity in diversity.
On the front of infrastructure, we keep on making significant additions. With our second audio-visual training room fully operational, the third is on the drawing board. We are happy to use two Digital Language Laboratories. The component of ICT in language teaching has tremendously gone up after these additions.
ELTIS is taking its first steps, under the guidance of Symbiosis International University, towards Research-orientation. As many as 10 of our faculty members have registered for Ph.D. Presenting papers in National & International Conferences has become the order of the day. We organised our 2nd National Conference on ‘“Developing Speaking Skills: Bringing Communication Alive for ESL Learners” in February 2012. The next Conference will be arranged in February 2013.
Let us continue to strive for making ELTIS and SIFIL two of the best learning organizations.

Let’s grow! Experimenting, trying, updating, training, developing….. is what we always do.
International Students are a happy lot on campus. Lively and enthusiastic, they make every learning activity a success. Mini film festival, gala learning, elocution, cookery, drawing,……… using every novel way to express, the students do better than before.
Maintaining our competent delivery of training to the Corporates, we continue to offer customised modules on Basic Communication Skills, Business Communication, Business Writing and Foreign Languages. We look forward to a promising performance in the fields of On-line Testing and Translations too.
We have started conducting exams of Cambridge ESOL as the authorised exam centre and training centre of University of Cambridge, UK.
Each experience enriches the teaching and learning processes at ELTIS-SIFIL. So, lets’ grow!Top
