Practical Orientation: Plenary Workshops
Our Conference will have a strong orientation towards on-the-field practice.
Hence there will be more workshops than paper presentation sessions. It is a pleasure that two stalwarts have kindly agreed to conduct workshops:

  • Prof. Sudhakar Marathe former Dean of the School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad. The theme/ title of his workshop will be ‘Speech is Power’.
  • Prof. Z.N. Patil Director of the School of Training and Development, English and Foreign Language University, Hyderabad (formerly  CIEFL). His workshop will be on the theme: ‘Using Zodiac Signs to Develop Spoken English’.

Prof. Marathe and Prof. Patil will teach us how to teach spoken English effectively through demonstrations. Let us eagerly look forward to such practical guidance.

Paper Presentations
  • We received 68 abstracts. We could accept 40, based on criteria such as relevance to the main theme, adherence to the tracks (sub-themes) and expression of own thinking. Acceptance has been conveyed to these 40 presenters with a request to submit their full text latest by January 20, 2012.
  • In addition, there will be four Invitee Paper Presenters. Their details will be conveyed soon in our next news bulletin.
