6) Gala Learning : English with fun !!
This one of its kind workshop was held in January 2010. The students experienced an out-of-the-classroom way of learning language. They were enthusiastically active and are highly creative in their performances.
The teachers took extra efforts to devise activities and sessions that pose a challenge to the otherwise typical students’ mindset of classroom learning.
They composed poems, interviewed personalities, created campus newspapers, acted counsellors and so on.

Top7) CII-Symbiosis: Finishing School
7th and 8th batches started on January 16, 2010 and are running successfully.
Finishing School is a social initiative started by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with Symbiosis (ELTIS-English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis). It is a part of Affirmative Action addressed to the socially underprivileged students. To equip the students with soft skills and English Communication Skills for enhancing their employability is the main objective of the course. We are glad to mention that almost two hundred students have benefited from the last six batches of this school so far.
The course aims at bridging the gap between academics and industry. Hence industry visits are organized for each batch. Hence the course design is a product of both academic and industrial expertise. It has components like:
- Introduction to the Employment Requirements
- Listening Skills
- Understanding Body Language
- Business Communication
- Personal Interview Techniques
- Personal Grooming for Effective Communication
- Enhanced Speaking for Business Communication
- Reading Comprehension
- Presentation Skills
- Introduction to Corporate Culture
- Video Conferencing
- Personal Growth and Effectiveness
- Case Study
